Tomorrow’s marquee event — the Disney Marathon — is expected to see 24,000 runners this year.Athletes and runners all over the world are making their way to Orlando Florida as Walt Disney celebrates its Disney World Marathon weekend from January 8 to January 10. This year 2010, more than 55,000 runners are registered to compete in one of the races – making it one of the largest running weekends in the country.Running In Wintry Weather At Disney Half-Marathon Light sleet and snow flurries in Central Florida didn’t stop thousands of runners braving the cold for the Disney Half-Marathon. The race Saturday morning was the first of two during Walt Disney World’s Marathon Weekend. A full, 26.2-mile marathon is on for Sunday in even colder temperatures.
